Court Advocate Program
Comprehensive, diagnostic and outpatient treatment services are provided to alcohol and chemically abusing individuals. Established in 1974, THE COURT ADVOCATE PROGRAM works with adults and juveniles who are involved in or referred by the Luzerne/Wyoming County Court Systems. Specialized programs include:
•The Forensic Diagnostic Assessment Service provides forensic mental health and alcohol and chemical abuse evaluations to the criminal justice systems.
•The Orphan's Court Assessment Service provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to those parents involved in custody and visitation disputes.
•The Alcohol Highway Safety Program provides instructions to those persons who are convicted for driving under the influence
•The Comprehensive Highway Safety Program targets enhancing the public's safe driving skills, safety consciousness and law enforcement training.
•Alcohol Education Class utilizes innovative teaching techniques to reduce reoccurring underage drinking.
•Community Services Program serves non-profit agencies and local municipalities in Luzerne County By providing workers who are court ordered to help in a variety of tasks. It holds the offenders accountable for their actions and requires them to do something positive for the community.
